Results and our progress
Thanks to the financing of the European program ENI CBC Med within the framework of the MedArtSal project, SAIDA S. A. company has benefited by the installation of a pilot for the culture of Dunaliella salina. An halophytic microalgae known for its high antioxydant power due to its high content in carotenoids. In this video, SAIDA company reveals the progress of the work undertaken at this stage. A long optimization work in the laboratory was undertaken both in terms of microalgae culture and in terms of Dunaliella based products development. Kick off meeting in Rome, here we are

Artisan salinas have become, in many cases, an integral part of the coastal landscape. Protecting them and rethinking their productive activity is the objecctive of the Medartsal project, launched in these days in Rome. The numbers are important and we are a part of it : four Mediterranean countries (ITALY, Spaon, Lebanon and Tunisia), with ten pilot actions for the development of new products/ services in selected salinas and two demonstration projects on the diversification of salinas products (i.e. Food and cosmetics) and services (i.e. Ho, RE, Ca) carried out in la Esperanza, Càdiz (Spain) and Sabkhet Sidi ElHani-Mlichet-Zeramdine (Tunisia).
